POSTPONED TO MARCH 13 AT HOOKSETT PUBLIC LIBRARY
PREPARING YOUR PARALIBRARIAN APPLICATION WORKSHOP
NHLA Paralibrarian Certification is a voluntary professional development portfolio for those working in NH libraries who do not have MLS/MLIS degrees. These library workers can use professional opportunities to advance through four levels of certification.
This workshop allows an in-depth look at the certification process, with the opportunity to ask questions of knowledgeable Paralibrarians, including those on the Certification Committee. Carla Ferreira and Lex Hetrick will walk you through the guidelines and each step of the application process.
Carla, Chair of the Review Committee, recently attained her Level 4 Certification. And Lex, our Paralibrarian section Webmaster, currently holds a Level 2 Certification.
Pursuit of this certification gives scope and structure to professional development activities. It encourages networking and brings new ideas and procedures to your library. Certified staff are more valuable with more skills and greater understanding of library functions.
We invite you to join us.
This session is not eligible for Paralibrarian Certification credit and is free.
In case of inclement weather, this class will be held on March 13 in Hooksett.
