Libraries Shine in 2009

The New Hampshire Library Association welcomes librarians from libraries of all types and sizes in New Hampshire and surrounding areas to the 2009 Annual Spring Conference on May 19th and 20th in Bartlett, NH at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center.

Each day offers attendees a variety of 24 programs, such as children's literature, new techologies, information literacy, and gaming in the library. See the Program pages for a complete listing. Attendees are also invited to join various interest, group, and committee roundtables for networking and discussion with like minded librarians and information professionals.

The Attitash Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center is offering a limited number of rooms for overnight accommodations at a reduced rate to NHLA Conference attendees for Monday & Tuesday, May 19 – May 20, 2009.

Guest Speakers

Tuesday

The 2009 Catherine Redden Lecture speaker will be Jean Amaral, Reference Librarian at Antioch University New England, and recent recipient of the New York Times I Love My Librarian Award.

Wednesday

Jon Blyberg, Assistant Director of Innovation and User Experience at the Darien Library in Connecticut is an open source software advocate and has authored several open source projects.


Book Sale

White Birch Books located at 2568 Main Street in North Conway, NH will be selling the variety of books, including those written by several of our presenters, and those that have been nominated and/or received the following awards:
