Go Online and Play...
Lichen Rancourt, Head of Technology, Manchester City Library

We have all heard of blogging, twitter, facebook, and other trappings of Web 2.0, but if you are still not convinced, this is the session for you. We will discuss why these tools are essential for all libraries to reach underserved patrons; how they will help you stay central in your communities; and, most importantly, how to go about using them effectively immediately.

Our aim is to take the overwhelming mystery out of the social web and demonstrate, in ways you can use immediately, how to master them. So they don't just make more work for you, but help you to build excitement in and among your users.
