How To Borrow a Kit
To borrow a READS-TO-GO Kit, all you really need to do is contact your local library and ask them to place an interlibrary loan request for the desired kit. However, what we suggest doing first is checking to see if the desired kit is available or already checked out by another group.
To do this, select the desired kit from the Quick TItle Find dropdown menu at the top of this page (or any page in our website.) When you select the desired title, you will be taken to a new page which includes information about how to check for availability of the kits.
In some cases, there will be a direct link to the kit in the sponsoring library's online catalog where you should be able to see if the kit is available or checked out. In other cases, we've provided a link to the sponsoring library's catalog, but you will need to place the actual search. Finally, in some cases, we've stated that you will need to contact the library by phone.
If a kit is available, go ahead and have your local library place an interlibrary loan request for that kit. However, if the kit is checked out, and you want to get onto its request list, ask your local librarian to contact the host library and put your group put on the request list.
